A four-digit number that identifies a unique AMEX Card in the transaction context. * **Merchant Account Number:** A 10-digit Service Establishment Number that American Express assigns to each Merchant. * **Merchant ID:** The Merchant Account Identifier. A 10-digit number that represents the Merchant account in the American Express' systems. This identifier is found in the Merchant Financial Activity Statement or by calling Merchant Services at 1-866-220-4272. * **PAN:** The Primary Account Number. This number is the traditional American Express account number printed on cards. * **SE Number:** A Service Establishment Number. A unique, 10-digit number assigned by American Express to a Merchant. * **Token:** A token is a 15-digit numeric alias for a PAN that is unique to a Merchant. Merchants may use these tokens to process, authorize, settle, and dispute a Card Member's transactions similar to the PAN.
