Token and meta-data notifications are received automatically through webhooks and/or on-demand through our API: **Delivery Method** **Description** Automatically via webhooks (recommended) It is encouraged to receive notifications via webhooks as AMEX will automatically send a notification of the meta-data or token status updates as they occur. To receive notifications, simply provide the webhook URL on the American Express Developers Portal. On-demand via API Request the latest token meta-data or status using the `/metadata` or `/status` endpoints respectively.
