# Global Pay with Points v2

The Global Pay with Points is a suite of APIs that enables eligible American Express® Card Members to pay for purchases with accumulated Membership Rewards® points within the Merchant checkout experience online or at a physical point-of-sale (POS).

The Pay with Points is a redemption feature that allows eligible Card Members to use Membership Rewards points to pay for all or part of a purchase. Rather than transferring points to a loyalty program, Card Members can apply points directly during checkout. The program is available across multiple redemption experiences, including: Travel Bookings through American Express Travel, Online Checkout with participating merchants, and Digital Wallet and Payment Partners.
