Enables partners to run their own card-linked offer programs by syncing their systems with American Express.

American Express publishes an overview for this product but no API specification, so there is no endpoint reference to show.

The American Express Smart Offer Partnership product provides registered Partners with access to certain American Express data, required to run their card-linked offer and loyalty programs, via API and SFTP. Through this product, Partners are able to access the transaction data of enrolled Card Members from specific participating Merchants.

How it works

Partners work with Participating Merchants and connect them to the American Express system.

Partners source offers from participating Merchants.

Card members enroll into the Partner's card-linked offer or loyalty program by entering their American Express Card information, which is then synced between American Express and Partner systems.

Certain transaction information is sent to the Partner from American Express so that Partners can apply a discount or issue loyalty points to American Express Card Members.

If applicable, American Express can issue statement credits on behalf of the Partner directly onto Card Member statements, for which American Express is later reimbursed.
