Network Loyalty

The Network Loyalty Platform contains the subset of APIs of the Loyalty Global APIs.

The American Express® Network Loyalty Platform (the R42 Platform) is a suite of APIs that offer real-time Application Programming Interfaces (APIs) to Issuers and their Concierge Service Providers (a.k.a., Concierge Providers). The R42 Platform allows an Issuer’s Card Members to enroll in Elite - Tier Benefits and transfer points into a benefit provider’s loyalty programs.

How it works

The Issuer or Concierge Provider builds a User Interface for the Carb Member that integrates with the R42 Platform.

The Issuer or their Concierge Provider builds a User Interface (UI) platform to integrate with the R42 Platform to allow the Card Member to:

  • Acquire an American Express® Card;

  • Create a profile within the R42 Platform;

  • Request to enroll in an Elite - Tier benefit;

  • Request to transfer points to a benefit provider’s loyalty program.

The Issuer or Concierge Provider builds an API call to query eligible benefits for a Customer.

The Issuer or their Concierge Provider builds an API call, allowing Issuers or Servicing Agents to query eligible benefits for a Customer.

The Issuer or Concierge Provider builds a notification API to receive back a service status from the R42 Platform.

The Issuer or their Concierge Provider builds a notification API, allowing the Issuer’s backend platform to receive final statuses from the R42 Platform for servicing.
